What is a Chasing Hammer used for?
A chasing hammer is used by a jeweller for planishing and chasing which means either smoothing out or adding texture to metal. Each hammer is fitted with two heads, one that is smooth and can be used for the planishing and the second which is a textured side that is used for the chasing.
