FIMO Leather Effect Clay for Jewellery
FIMO Leather Effect Clay is a polymer clay that looks and feels remarkably like leather after hardening. Our collection includes a range of different colours, including saffron yellow, rust, dove grey, olive and many more. FIMO Leather Effect is perfect for making clay jewellery – such as earrings, necklaces or bracelets – but can also be used to create other home decorations and bag charms.
Like other FIMO modelling clay, it should be oven baked for hardening. This clay in particular requires 30 minutes in a conventional oven at 130°C. Once hardened, the leather-effect look will be visible on both sides and the piece will be highly flexible like leather, enabling you to bend it with ease, cut it with scissors or punch and sew it.

You can shape or work FIMO Leather Effect clay in any way you like, even varying the leather effect too: the more firmly you compress the modelling clay, the smoother the leather effect. Pull the clay apart gently after rolling it out and the leather effect will take on a raw look.
Make Clay Jewellery with FIMO Leather Effect
Need a leather necklace cord for your FIMO bead necklace? If you’ve already made FIMO beads from FIMO polymer clay, why stop there? Create a leather-effect necklace cord with FIMO Leather Effect clay. Simply shape the clay into your ideal-sized cord and bake it in a conventional oven for 30 minutes at 130°C. Once hardened, it will look and feel remarkably similar to leather and it can be bent, cut with scissors, punched or sewn, just like real leather. Add your FIMO beads and a clasp and you’ll have yourself a fully FIMO jewellery piece.
