Gemstone Specification: Jade refers to two different types of minerals, jadeite and nephrite. Jadeite measures 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale while nephrite is slightly softer, measuring 6-6.5. Both variations are natural stones therefore it is advised that due to inclusions, stones may have visual differences. Jade semi-precious round beads are sold in 16”/40cm strands in sizes starting from 4.00mm and have been dyed in colours including lilac, aqua, blue, pink, purple and green. Nephrite stones are cabochon stones stocked in round and oval shapes in multiple sizes.
