Semi-precious Lava Beads
Black lava stones are an igneous rock formed when liquid lava solidifies. Identifiable by their dimpled surface holes and deep black colour, although not a commonly used stone, black lava stones are growing increasingly popular amongst both professional and beginner jewellery makers.

Gemstone Specifications: Black lava beads have a hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale. Due to the nature of the stone it is important to note that each bead will differ due to it’s unique patterns and finish. As with all stones of this nature it is advised that lava beads are not places in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or in chemical cleaning solution.
