A very delicate stone, it is advised that malachite is not placed in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or in any chemical cleaning solution. This particular stone should also not be exposed to prolonged periods of heat and light. Malachite stones are natural stones formed of a copper carbonate material and can be identifiable by rich green tones and distinctive banding.
