Enjoy making these beautiful earrings, to wear or gift, by following our simple step by step written instructions or by watching our video tutorial.
Step 1
Either select two similar sized and shaped Silver grains or to make mismatched earrings, choose two complimentary sized or shaped grains.
Step 2
Add a little bit of solder paste to the end of an earring post and place the Silver grain on a solder brick/block.
Step 3
Using a third hand with reverse action tweezers, position the earring post in the tweezers and in contact with the middle of the silver grain.
Step 4
‘
Using a hand blowtorch, gently heat the grain first and then the post until the solder melts and flows. Repeat the steps above to make another earring.
Step 5
Quench the Silver stud earring in water or leave to cool, then add them to a warm acid pickle.
Step 6
Polish the Silver stud earrings using a polishing cloth and a burnisher or a barrel polisher. Add the butterfly scrolls onto the earring posts to complete.
