Hallmarked scrap can be jewellery or pieces which are complete or broken, including watch parts. Here’s the scrap metal process for your hallmarked pieces:
1. Ensure your precious metal scrap is sorted by alloy and carat if possible. This helps us process your metal faster. If you don’t know the carat then we can sort on receipt of your scrap
2. Send in your jewellery scrap with this form* in our FREE scrap bags or scrap pots. Or visit our stores in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and London’s Hatton Garden
3. If you haven’t got one of our scrap bags or pots, you can order them here. Or simply drop into one of our stores. Sending your scrap is FREE, simply print off your special delivery label here and send it to us through your post office.
4. We aim to process your scrap within 24 hours*. We will process your payment quickly after valuation.
*Lead times may vary during busy times
Lemels and off cuts are smaller bits of precious metal scrap, usually from working with precious metals.
1. Separate your scrap by each alloy, ensuring you keep silver and gold separated. Please note we are currently working on minimum quantities of 50gms for gold and 500 gms for silver
2. Depending on the amount of lemels or off cuts you can either send in your scraps in our FREE scrap pots or you can call us on 0345 100 1122 to arrange an on-site visit from one of our trusted representatives. You can also visit our stores in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and London’s Hatton Garden.
3. We aim to process your lemels and off cuts within 5-7 working days*. We will process your payment once your metal has been valued.
*Lead times may vary during busy times. Please note we can no longer accept lemel/small scrap requests containing cadmium, unless the weight of the total scrap is greater than 10kg.
Sweeps can be found on emery paper, mops or even on carpet tiles
1. Collate your sweeps, these don’t need to be separated.
2. Simply call us on 0345 100 1122 to discuss your sweep enquiries and arrange for us to collect your precious metal sweeps
3. We aim to process your sweeps within 2 – 3 weeks *. We will process your payment once your metal has been valued.
*Lead times may vary during busy times
